Best Black Friday Balance Bike deals for toddlers – 2022
Black Friday can be a great time to get a cheap balance bike for your toddler - especially if you're wanting to get them one for their Christmas present. In this post we'll be taking a look at some great bargains on balance bikes available in the run-up to Black Friday so you can find the Christmas present.
We'd recommend buying early to avoid disappointment, as stock is quite limited this year.
Black Friday is on Friday 25th November 2022. Some discounts start at the beginning of November, and we'd expect others to be released either a few days before, at midnight on the Friday, or late on the Thursday afternoon. The sales will last until Cyber Monday (28th November 2022) but remember once the balance bikes have been sold, that's it, so buy early to avoid disappointment!
You've arrived at this page a bit early, so do please book mark it and come back nearer the time to find the best Black Friday deals on balance bikes.
In the meantime, these were the bargains to be had last year:
What is a balance bike - and should I buy one for my toddler this Black Friday?
A balance bike is a tiny little two wheeled bike without pedals, which allows your toddler to scoot along. It really helps them learn to balance, and makes the transition to a pedal bike so much easier.
A balance bike is usually cheaper and much lighter than a pedal bike, and a lot more fun for very young children.
We highly recommend that a balance bike is the way all kids learn to ride, rather than traditional stablisers and a heavy, steel framed pedal bike.

Best Balance Bike deals - Black Friday 2021
We're updating the various Black Friday balance bike deals as they start to become available. Here's our pick of the best offers:
50% off a Mini Hornit helmet when you buy the AIRO balance bike
The AIRO balance bike (£139) is one of the lightest quality balance bikes around - weighing in at just 2.95 kg
It's got "proper" pneumatic tyres, a cool magnesium alloy frame and comes in a range of vibrant colours.
You can read our review of the Hornit AIRO balance bike to find out more details of why our reviewer liked it so much.
This Black Friday weekend Hornit are giving a 50% discount (saving of £17.49) on any mini hornit kids bike helmet bought at the same time as the AIRO balance bike. Just add a balance bike and a helmet into your basket and then enter the code LIDS50 at checkout for 50% off a Hornit helmet.
The sizing on the smallest of their helmet is 48 - 53cm, so if it's too big now you can put away for a later date (read here on how to measure your child for a cycle helmet)
Offer ends 23:59 on Monday 29/11/2021
Cube Cubie Walk Balance Bike
Was £179 now £130
The Cube Cubie 120 Walk balance bike is the very smallest bike in Cube's extensive kids bike range and Chain Reactions cycles are having a Black Friday clear out of the old model to make way for the 2021 designs.
A low standover height means it's easy for little legs to get on and off and the tyres are "proper" pneumatics ones so they're going to be grippy and comfortable for outside riding.
Cube have fitted a steering limiter to stop your little one getting into scrapes if they decide to turn the handlebars too quickly, and to help you carry the balance bike home when they've had enough for the day there's a handle integrated into the seat.
We've not been able to review this particular bike but we've reviewed a number of larger Cube pedal bikes and have always been impressed with the German precision engineering and attention to detail.
Vitus Nippy Superlight Balance Bike
WAS £44.99 NOW £34.99
Vitus are a really reputable bike brand, with a range of quality kids bike. They currently have their very smallest offering, the Vitus Nippy Balance Bike, reduced down from £44.99 to £34.99 in their Black Friday sale.
This is a really lightweight balance bike (just 1.9kg) so your child will find it really easy to move about. It has solid tyres (rather than pneumatic) which means you won't have problems with punctures, but remember it's not really designed for off road riding!
It's suitable for children with an inside leg of 31cm to 38cm and is a great choice for smaller toddlers wanting to play in the garden, house or paved paths.
They come in a choice for four colours - red, blue, silver and black
Vitus Smoothly Balance Bike
Reduced from £89.99 to £69.99
The Vitus Smoothly is a real step up from the Nippy - it's got proper pneumatic tyres for a comfy off road ride, and is a great choice for slightly taller children (inside leg 33cm - 44cm) who are that bit more adventurous.
The frame is made from magnesium, which has been cast allowing a carry handle gap in the middle for when your little one has had enough and your need to get the bike home.
Vitus say they’ve specially designed the saddle to have a scoop in it to provide an optimal riding position, and they’ve used their experience of designing bikes of all shapes and sizes to make sure the technical elements on the Smoothly, such as the headset, bearings and wheels, are top notch.
What stands the Smoothy out from other similar specified balance bikes is the low price – you’re certainly getting a lot of balance bike for your money. Most similarly specified bikes are quite a lot more expensive - and they've even reduced it for Black Friday so it's even more of a bargain!
Forme Hartington Balance Bike
21% discount in Black Ticket Sale
Tredz are having a Black Ticket Sale in the run up to Black Friday, and they've reduced the Forme Hartington balance bike by 21%, from £100 to £79
If your Cycle Sprog wants the stylish look of a city bike, complete with a basket on the front, then the Forme Hartington is a great option. Colour wise Tredz only have the lilac option left in their sale.
It’s not the lightest balance bike out there, because it’s made from steel, so do be aware that if your child is very small they may have a bit more difficulty moving this bike around. For this reason it’s probably better suited to slightly older balance bikers.
From £4.49 per month
We're adding the Bike Club in here because they can be a good way to get a quality balance bike more cheaply, and without the upfront cost.
They don't have any Black Friday deals on balance bikes, but we thought you might be interested as you can pick up a balance bike from £4.49 per month.
With the Bike Club you pay a monthly subscription in return for a long term lease of one of their new or used kids bike. When your child outgrows it you just send the bike back and upgrade to the next size.
They only stock great quality, lightweight bikes (as they need them to last lots of children), so you have peace of mind that you're always going to have a decent, reliable bike for your child.
The Bike Club stock Frog Tadpoles (in all three sizes) as well as Squish, Islabikes and Strider balance bikes.
You can often opt for a reUse balance bike which has been leased before and is therefore cheaper (and better for the environment).
Prices start from £4.49 per month for a reUse Strider and go up to £9.99 for a new Frog Tadpole Plus.
