Help! Where is still delivering kids bikes for Christmas 2023?

If you've left buying your child a bike for Christmas until the very last minute this year - don't worry! There are still options available.

This is our list of retailers who tell us they are still shipping kids bikes in time for a Christmas 2023 delivery.

Please note that this can change at any time, so we advise to buy immediately to avoid disappointment.

Here's our rundown of where you can look to try and get a bike in time for Christmas delivery.

Don't forget to check that the particular bike you choose says it is in stock and that it can be delivered in time for Christmas.

Tredz - 19 December

Last date for Christmas delivery from Tredz: Tuesday 19th December 2023

We recommend Tredz because they are always really honest about the stock levels they have, and really do take customer service really seriously.

We use Tredz ourselves and have always been pleased with their customer service and they have a very high Trust Pilot rating.

We really like that they have a little Christmas present icon which shows whether they can deliver a particular bike in time for Christmas!

Hornit - 20 December

Last date for Christmas delivery from Hornit: Wed 20 December 2023 at 12pm

Hornit offers several different bikes of varying sizes, so there's something for everyone.

Their AIRO balance bike is so lightweight that when we received one for review, we actually thought they'd sent us an empty box at first! You can read all about why we think it's great in our Hornit AIRO balance bike review.

Their HERO range of starter pedal bikes are designed with simplicity as the aim.

All models are fitted with a belt drive rather than a chain to reduce maintenance and the chance of getting oily fingers or clothing. The larger bikes have three very easy to use gears to make riding simpler.

Hornit tell us: "Please be aware that although this is our last shipping date, we cannot always guarantee that the 3rd party courier will deliver before the 25th of December. We therefore advise that you make your order as early as possible to receive it in time for Christmas. "

Black Mountain - 21 December

Last date for ordering for Christmas delivery from Black Mountain: Thu 21 December 2023

Black Mountain are very clever kids bikes.

For smaller kids they start off in balance bike mode, and then you convert to a pedal bike when the time is right. The frame then grows with your child, replacing the need for a larger bike.

For older kids the frame grows, plus you can buy an additional balance bike conversion kit if they haven't yet learnt to pedal.

Wheel sizes range from 14" through to 20" making them suitable for ages two and a half through to six years and over.

They're not the cheapest, but you get the equivalent to two or three bikes, which means they actually work out great value for money.

Black Mountain tell us "Our final shipping day before Christmas is Thursday 21st December. However, we recommend ordering earlier so there's time to fix any issues with the order in the unlikely event that any occur."

Kidvelo - 18 December

Last date for Christmas delivery from Kidvelo: Mon 18 December 2023 - for guaranteed delivery. However they continue to deliver throughout this week but cannot guarantee arrival for the big day!

If you're after a balance bike, then Kidvelo Rookie 12 is an excellent choice

And for older kids who are still learning to pedal, the Kidvelo Rookie 14 and Kidvelo Rookie 18 start out as a balance bike but comes with a simple-to-fit pedal conversion kit, meaning you get two bikes for the price of one. A great choice if your child might soon be ready to learn to pedal.

Whilst we get your bike ready to leave within 24hrs, DPD are struggling to fit all our bikes onto the daily collection van, so dispatch may be delayed a day or two. Decathlon are one of the biggest retailers of kids bikes across Europe, and they are becoming more popular here in the UK all the time, especially as they have been upgrading their kids bike range.

They have a variety of different bikes at different price points, which will obviously vary in weight and specification, so do check before you buy that the bike isn't too heavy for your child to carry.

Their aluminium framed BTwin Rockrider kids mountain bikes are really worth checking out.

Your local bike shop - 23 December

Don't forget your local bike shop! They will be open the day before Christmas Eve, and if you're lucky they may have a bike in stock in the size your child needs.

No promises, so again, try not to leave it that late to avoid disappointment!
