10% discount code for 2017 Cycle Show

For the past few years the team here at Cycle Sprog have been attending the Cycle Show at the NEC in Birmingham, to bring you the latest news in the world of kids’ bikes and family cycling. This year, we’re really pleased to be able to offer our readers a 10% discount code off tickets for the show on the Friday and on the Sunday  (22nd and 24th September 2017).  (Note – there is no discount code available on the Saturday – see below for reasons why).  This 10%  is ON TOP OF the 20% discount you get for buying your tickets in advance on-line before the event.

There’s loads of things to keep kids interested at the Cycle Show, including kids test tracks.

This year there will be both Islabikes and Ridgeback kids bikes available, so your little Cycle Sprog can get on two wheels and expend some energy.

For kids aged 7 to 13 the British Triathlon Trust are holding a “Dry Tri” where you can try and beat the clock (or your friends/siblings) on a cycle/run/row – it’s free to enter.

There’s also the BMX riders doing displays on the jump box and quarter pipe – guaranteed to keep your little ones enthralled for hours!!!

All this is addition to the exhibits, some of which will be carrying kids stock (such as Cube, Dare 2b, Madison) and other which are just fun for kids to look at.

Why can’t I have a Cycle Show discount code for the Saturday?

We’ve spoken to the Cycle Show organizers, and they are keen to point out that they expect the Saturday  (23rd September) to be a sell out and the hall to be incredibly busy, so this isn’t the best day for young families to visit. Last year they had to stop entry to the hall during part of the Saturday. The Friday and Sunday are expected to be quieter days and therefore more suited to families with younger children, and why they are willing to offer Cycle Sprog readers a discount code for this day.

Just tried to use the discount code and a ‘no longer valid message came up!
Should the code still be valid as your website states that it should be upto the day before the event.

    • Karen says:

Hi Pat – I’ve managed to get through to the point of being asked to enter my credit card details for the discounted tickets, using the code SPROG. The code is only valid on the Friday and Sunday for standard tickets (not VIP or any tickets on the Saturday). If it’s still a problem I can contact the site owners for you. Karen

  2. Pat Hall says:

Hi, tried again this evening (Sat) for a Friday ticket with the same result. Will try another code from elsewhere but thanks anyway.

    • Karen says:

I’m not sure what’s happening Pat – apologies. I can see that we’ve sold a number of tickets today, so I think the functionality is working for most people. We’re running a competition until midnight tomorrow if you want to enter and try and win a ticket. See the news section of our website for details. Karen

  3. Kate says:

The code appears to only allow each ticket type to be bought in multiples of 2?

    • Karen says:

Thanks for pointing this out Kate. It was working for odd numbers before, so I’ve contacted the Show to find out what’s going on. Hopefully they will correct. Apologies for the inconvenience, Karen

    • Karen says:

Hi Kate – this has been corrected, so you should now be able to purchase as many or as few tickets as you want. Apologies for the inconvenience this has caused. Karen
