Burley Kids Bike Trailers - the basics
Burley are an American company, who specialise in making bike trailers.
There's a few standard features on ALL their trailers, so we haven't listed them out each time.
All Burley child trailers are designed and rigorously tested to meet and exceed ASTM standards and requirements. In fact, Burley paved the way in creating these safety standards.
The aluminium structure and restraint system are all about safety and each trailer comes with a bright safety flag.
You can purchase an outside storage cover which is compatible with all Burley kids and pet trailers.
Additional hitches are available to allow you to use the trailer on more than one bike.

The Burley Bee is possibly the most iconic kids' bike trailer!
It is a cycling-only trailer and it is available in two models - a single and a double.
It’s designed for all weather use on smooth surfaces, so you get an outer waterproof cover to keep your passengers dry when it rains, plus a mesh inner cover to keep nasty flying things out when it’s hot..
The Burley Bee has a funky little foot guard, a 5-point harness system and hammock-style seating.
A useful feature of the Burley Bee is the storage space at the back – we all know how much “stuff” you need to take with young children!
The Bee has a parking brake, so when you are stationary make sure to put the parking brake on.
The wheels are really easy to push on and pull off with the push button quick release.
Burley Honey Bee
OK, I’ve never seen a red honey bee, but that’s the colour Burley have chosen for this particular model!
The Burley Honey Bee has all of the performance features that the Burley Bee has plus you can also use it for Strolling.
The handlebar rotates into two different positions, one for cycling and the other for strolling. You can quickly change this by releasing the bar and swinging the handle towards you.
Going out for a stroll? Don't forget to change the front wheel to be forward-facing!
Burley have designed the Encore X for the active family!
Add a jogger kit and go jogging, add a ski kit and go skiing! All with suspension to lessen those bumps!
The inside has some fancy features including a sunshade and premium seat pads so your little ones can get the taste of adventure in comfort.
The D’Lite is the most premium and versatile double trailer in the Burley range.
It’s designed to provide the most comfort for your passengers whilst you’re cycling or strolling.
The D'Lite X comes with premium 20inch wheels which have excellent tread and aggressive grip.
It’s also fitted with a fully adjustable suspension for off-road riding.
Inside your passengers can travel in luxury, with premium seats and headrests which also recline for that all-important nap time. There’s also extra room for elbows and knees.
Burley haven’t forgotten about the practicalities of taking kids out cycling though as the D’Lite-X has a floor mat, sunshade and zipper?
Burley Rental Cub
The Burley Rental Cub was designed for bike rental businesses, so it’s built to last!
The inside has a hard plastic bucket, making it the most stable kids bike trailer.
The Rental Cub is also made of a very different material than the other Burley trailers, which is water resistant.
The seat pads can easily be removed, making it super easy to wipe clean!
You can find lots of these trailers at places like Center Parcs!
