Your Cargo now comes with a new Digital LCD, giving you up to 5 levels of power assist, real time cycling stats (including a speedometer and distance travelled) and even more control at your handlebars. Cargo bikes bike

In general I’m very happy with the bike, I had some initial braking issues but they were swiftly resolved.
It dose take a little time to get use to the way it operates.
Good advanced planning is always needed for the gearing and motor settings especially in areas with steep hills.
I really didn’t get on with the stand and have substantially changes it to single kick stand which I much prefer. I would recommend this bike. Good quality, great performance, can carry both kids fab service.

Best Electric Cargo Bike

After trying lots of different bikes I took a gamble and purchased one I had tried. For the money, it’s the best out there in my opinion. My only tip after speaking with Lawrence, is if you’re on a hill, with two kids, kick off from first gear. My kids love it!

Great e-cargo bike for the price

So far so good. It sure is a lot of fun to ride. We've got a basket on the front so that a passenger can go on the back

Fantastic bike

Bought this bike for the school run and getting to work, but we have used it for so much more. Having it has made us consider how we get everywhere now and whether we can cycle instead. The kids love it.
Build quality is good. Very easy to assemble from the box. The caboose, deck pads and running boards are a great addition to keep the kids safe and comfortable.
The power assist is great, level 5 maintains you at 16.5mph, which gives me the confidence to ride on the road.
Only bugbear is the gearing, top end speed when peddling isn't there (once I have dropped the kids off at school), but I also understand why it is geared the way it is. Would 100% recommend buying this bike.

I'm 6ft & 90KG and cycle a lot so riding it is easy. Slightly taller riders may find the seat can't be raised high enough for them.
My wife is 5ft8 & much lighter than me, so she does find balancing the bike at low speeds difficult or when the kids are moving around too much, but really enjoys using it and is fine when up to speed.

Context - I have had the bike for around 4-5 months and coming up to 700km cycled. I use it to take 2 children to nursery and at the weekends for local days out etc. I have never ridden an electric or cargo bike before, so do not know how it compares to other examples.
I love this bike and look forward to cycling it. It has made journeys easy and retired the bike trailer that was used for the same purpose before. The motor makes it easy to cycle and I can often overtake people on electric and nonelectric bikes alike which brings much joy to my children and a look of annoyance to others. It can take a second too long to kick in on a hill but I haven't found this to cause any major issues and often can just slow down or coast to a speed that doesn't mean I have to stop. The brakes are more than enough to come to a quick stop and perform well in the wet and I feel safe cycling it through the rush hours of London traffic. It looks great and turns heads I have been asked more questions about this bike at traffic lights than in all my years commuting.
Negatives of bike:
Rear light is too dull and is useless as a result. You will need to attach your own.
The physical bike battery design is slightly concaved which means when it rains, water collects here.
The rear mudguard should be extended back more along the wheel as water still sprays up. I would also like to see the chain protector around the chain to offer more protection and less maintenance.
Would love a version that offers a removal battery as due to its size and weight, charging can be hard as the bike can not just be tucked out of the way.

Amazing value but changes needed to be perfect

For the money this is by far the best cargo bike on the market and it's performed really well in the few months I've had it. It's great at carrying people and cargo and can easily cope with the hills around here. However the power delivery is slow and erratic so hill starts are a problem if you don't change into a low gear and the throttle is practically useless apart from when walking. The range indicator has a mind of its own which is usually at odds with the indicator on the battery. I'm going to upgrade it and advise others to do the same if you want to travel longer distances with confidence. Another spec improvement would be a longer seat post. (I have to go above the max insertion and I'm not that tall). It's strange that there isn't a pannier bag available (at time of writing) as it's the best way of carrying lots of stuff. The decathlon one works though with some zip ties but it's not perfect. It's also weird that an extra battery isn't available to purchase. I couldn't stretch my cycle to work budget to the 120km model but I'd like to get a spare at some point. All these things aren't dealbreakers though and are fixable so maybe 4.5/5 stars.

Perfect family bicycle

The Cargo Mycle bicycle is exactly what my family needed to make the school/nursery run easy, less stressful and on a nice day very pleasant and fun. There are very few alternatives on the market, which are considerably more expensive. It looks good too.

FAQs

What child seats fit on a Mycle Cargo bike?

You can safely transport children on our Mycle Electric Cargo Bike using the compatible Thule Yepp 2 Maxi Rear Child Seat
This allows you to safely carry up to two children on the rear Cargo rack and is suitable for ages from 1 to 6 years old, and up to 22kg (48.5lbs). For children from 9 month, these seats should be suitable but please consult your paediatrician first. These Thule Yepp Rack Mounted Child Seats are shock absorbing, have a padded straps with a childproof fastening and grows as your child does thanks to adjustable foot rests and foot strap. For other child seats, our luggage rack is 175mm in width and seat tube is 30mm. However, we cannot guarantee any other child seats fit.

I don’t have any previous technical bike knowledge. How will my bike arrive?

All our e-bikes come pre-built by qualified Cytech technicians here in the UK. Once your e-bike has been built and quality tested, we ship your bike using BJS, a fast and reliable UK delivery service. There is minimal assembly required to help get your bike ready to ride from the box, and don’t worry, we make it as easy for you as possible. You can find our bike assembly instructions on this page (including a video unboxing you can follow along to) and our friendly customer care team are always on hand for any further guidance you may need.

Is this a waterproof e-bike?

Yes! You can cycle it out in the rain (if you want to!) and not worry about damaging the bike. For storage, see below.

Can I leave it outside?

Yes - You can leave your Mycle ebike outside but we recommend storing under cover or using a bike cover to protect the electrical elements such as display and battery connectors. Your battery will need to be stored within a specified temperature to maintain its charge (as per the user manual). When charging and storing the battery, be sure to store in a dry environment. If storing the bike outside, the bike may be more susceptible to harsh weather and may need more frequent maintenance to ensure component stay in prime condition. Further information found in the owners manual.

What does it feel like to ride an e-bike?

An e-bike isn't a motorbike, there's no throttle and like a normal bike, you won't go anywhere until you start peddling. Our customers describe our bikes to feel like you're riding on the flat even when you're on hills - it's very easy to cycle no matter the terrain.

Is the battery removable?

Yes, your batteries will be completely removable so you can store and charge them anywhere in your home or place of work. Our batteries are also lockable to give you extra piece of mind when leaving them on the bike for short periods of time. For complete protection, we do recommend insuring your Cargo like you would your car, and have partnered with Cycle Guard to offer you an exclusive 15% discount.

Where can I test ride the Mycle Cargo?

We've partnered with the UK Electric Bike Centre in Kent to give you the chance to test ride our Cargo and experience the ride for yourself! As the team only hold a small amount of stock, we advise you call in advance of your visit to make sure the Cargo is available to view on 01622 890 300.
