What happened to Mycle Cargo Bikes?

If you've landed here from a link to a Mycle Cargo bike, you're probably wondering what's going on.

Here's what we know.

Mycle Cargo Ltd was dissolved on 30 September 2025. The company quietly stopped trading, and there was no announcement, no administration process, and no successor brand to take on warranty or spares. You can see the official record on Companies House: Mycle Cargo Ltd, company number 13385418.

It's a shame to see them go. We rated the Mycle Cargo as a great entry-level cargo bike, and it proved popular with families when it first launched.

What this means if you already own a Mycle Cargo bike

Unfortunately, there's no ongoing support from the brand - no warranty claims, no official spares, and no customer service to contact.

If something goes wrong with your bike, you'll need to work with a local bike shop to source compatible parts or arrange repairs independently.

It's still a cargo bike, and with sensible maintenance there's no reason it won't keep doing its job. But it's worth knowing that you're on your own if you need parts or backup down the line.

Frequently asked questions about Mycle Ltd

Is Mycle Ltd still trading?

No. Mycle Ltd was dissolved on 30 September 2025 and is no longer trading. You can view the official record on Companies House.

Can I still get spares or warranty support for my Mycle electric cargo bike?

No, there's no official spares or warranty support available now the company has closed. A local bike shop may be able to source compatible parts or carry out repairs, but there's no manufacturer backup.

Should I buy a secondhand Mycle Cargo bike?

Possibly, if the price reflects the lack of manufacturer support and you check it over carefully first. We rated the Mycle Cargo as a solid entry-level cargo bike, so a well-maintained secondhand example can still be a good option — just factor in that there's no warranty or official spares if something needs replacing. Check the frame, brakes and any electrics (if it's an e-cargo bike) thoroughly before buying, ideally with a bike shop's help, and make sure you can still get hold of parts like tyres before committing.

Is it still safe to ride my Mycle cargo bike?

Yes, provided it's well maintained. The bike itself hasn't changed - it's only the manufacturer support that's gone. Get it checked over by a bike shop if you're ever unsure, especially before carrying children.

What's a good alternative to the Mycle Cargo bike?

We'd recommend the Estarli cargo bike or a Decathlon B'Twin longtail - both offer good value, a proper range of accessories, and ongoing support behind them.
