The best World Book Day costumes 2020

World Book Day is one of my favourite days of the year on social media, as I get to see all the amazing costumes that kids up and down the country are wearing. It's been brilliant again this year to see so many cycling inspired costumes. After all, what better way is there to spend the day at school, than dressed in your cycling kit???

Here's my pick of my favourite World Book Day Costumes with a cycling theme - hope you enjoy!

Princess BMX World Book Day Costumes

It's great to see a brand new character appearing in the World Book Day costumes this year.Β  Β MarieΒ  Basting's Princess BMX was only published last summer, and it's clearly been a hit!

Flying Fergus World Book Day Costumes

Sir Chris Hoy was one of the first authors to produce a series of popular kids books about cycling, and every year there's always lots of Flying Fergus's going to school on World Book Day.Β  The Flying Fergus series came to a conclusion with the publication of the 10th book last year.

This must be one of my favourite World Book Day photos - not only a great costume, but what a ride to school too!

Knights and Bikes

Last year saw the second installment in the Knights and Bikes series by Gabrielle Kent - called the Rebel Bicycle Club.Β  This followed on from the first book which was published the year before. (We're hoping for a 3rd adventure later this year!!!)

Sir Bradley Wiggins

Great to see Matthew enjoying reading biography:
