Frog 40

Frog 40

One of the most popular bike brands dominating the quality kids’ bike market is Frog Bikes. Their range of bikes is lightweight, hardwearing and fun, with a great range of colours to choose from.

Frog’s smallest pedal bike is the 14″ wheel Frog 40 (Frogs are named after the shortest leg length that the bike suits – in this case 40 cm).  It’s a recent replacement to their really popular Frog 43.  They’ve lowered the standover height by 3cm meaning a pedal bike is accessible to even younger and shorter children.

The Frog 40 has all the child-sized components that give parents peace of mind that their child is riding safely includng a low Q-Factor, child sized brakes, pedal and saddle.

It weighs in at 6.46kg, so it’s easy for a child to ride, plus it’s nice and light for you to carry around when they’ve had enough.

Frog Bikes are hardwearing, so you should be able to pass the bike on to younger siblings/friends or get a good resale value when your child has outgrown a 14″ wheel bike.

We’ve reviewed the earlier version of this bike – the Frog 43 – and were very impressed with it. You can read our review of the Frog 43 here.

Subscribe to the Bike Club and get the Frog 40 for a low monthly cost. When it gets too small just upgrade it for a bigger Frog.
