Hoy Bonaly 20

The Hoy Bonaly has been replaced by the Hoy Pentland - see the new range here.

The Hoy Bonaly 20 was the smallest bike with gears in the range created by the Olympic cycling legend Sir Chris Hoy.

It was discontinued in 2023, and is now only available secondhand.  But due to the popularity of these bikes (which were sold via Evans Cycles) there are loads of them out there looking for new owners.

With grippy Kenda small block tyres, the Bonaly is equally at home on road or trail.

Our 7-year-old reviewed really enjoyed riding this bike – it was easy for her to lift up and carry when needed, plus she found the gears easy to operate. Despite riding it regularly on the school run as well as at the weekend the bike remained in pristine condition. You can read the full review of the Hoy Bonaly 20 kids bike here.

One interesting fact is that the Bonaly is named after the place Sir Chris Hoy first went mountain biking when he was a boy. It’s in the Pentland Hills, just south west of Edinburgh in Scotland.
