The Kidvelo Rookie 12 is one of our favourite balance bikes, and gets rave reviews from our testers and parents we know who have bought one.
It’s lightweight and very well made. This shows in the little features, such as sealed bearings on the wheels and a proper headset – bits you don’t see but really make a difference to the quality of the product.
Our (adult) reviewer also really liked the frame design, although this probably doesn’t register with the rider!
It has a more upright riding position than some of the other 12 inch balance bikes on the market, making it a good choice if your child is a bit more cautious about picking up speed and going really fast. This has made them the go-to balance bike for children with additional needs.
