Win a signed copy of "Cycling Adventures with Clarabell"

THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED AND THE WINNERS DRAWN. Congratulations to Kara, Sharon and Matthew who have all won a signed copy of "Cycling Adventures with Clarabell".

It's World Book Day on Thursday 1st March 2018, and we're delighted to have copies of a new cycling themed children's book to give away to three lucky Cycle Sprog readers.

"Cycling Adventures with Clarabell" is a collection of short stories aimed at KS1 and younger children, about the adventures that Clarabell gets up to when she's out on her bike - from rescuing a wayward duck to meeting clowns and visiting the Pumpkin Fair.  Each tale is several pages long, so ideal for bed time stories for younger Cycle Sprogs, or independent reading for slightly older ones.

Cycling Adventures with Clarabell by Corina Blake

The tales are the first published book by 69 year old Corina Blake, who has had a life long ambition to write and illustrate a children's book.  She's used her love of cycling to make that dream come true, and hopes she can inspire a new generation to enjoy cycling from a young age.

Corina didn't start cycling until she was in her early 30's, as an attempt to improve her fitness.  As with many first time cyclists, she found it difficult at first, but over time got fit enough to ride up to 80-90 miles a day.  Now approaching her 70th birthday, Corina rides a Mezzo D9 fold up bike (sadly no longer manufactured) and rides about 40-50 miles on her adventures.  She told us she moved to a fold up bike as it fits easily into the boot of the car, so she can drive to different locations and ride, plus it's lightweight and smaller than her previous bikes.

Corina told us "I started cycling 37 years ago to get myself fit and found it was the best thing l have ever done!  I am still cycling, next year will be my 70th birthday.   Cycling is the most rewarding and pleasurable way to exercise and keep fit and healthy. With many cycle-ways now available to get out and enjoy fresh air in the countryside, I would like to encourage children to cycle to benefit and improve their quality of life in later years has it has done for me."

We have three copies of "Cycling Adventures with Clarabel" to give away. The first prize is a personalised signed hardback copy, and two second prizes are a signed paperback copy of the book.

There are a number of ways to enter below, giving you multiple chances of winning this great book.  Entries close on World Book Day (1st March 2018) - Good Luck!
