Pudsey bike launched by Frog Bikes while Islabikes announce new colours

Two of Britain's leading children's bike brands - Islabikes and Frog Bikes - have announced new colour schemes for autumn 2013, with Frog Bikes also revealing their charitable intentions with their new Pudsey Bike sold in aid of Children in Need.

Islabikes go "mature" with a bronzed look

Ludlow based Islabikes took to Facebook on 27th August to share details of their new colours with the following message:

Our next special edition colours are on their way:
Cnocs and Beinns will be "bronzed brown" - quite a mature colour but it really sparkles in the sunshine!
Luaths will be available in lime green.
We don't have any photos yet but will post them here as soon as we do.
They should be here in around 5 weeks.
If you fancy one of these place your order soon as they go quickly!

Lime green limited edition IslabikeComments on their Facebook page indicate that the Lime Green Luath may be a popular choice amongst parents. No photos are available at present, but previous special editions have included the Lime Green Cnoc 16 pictured (right).

Islabikes have been a popular choice of kids bike amongst cycling parents for years, due to the high quality specification and resale value of the bikes.

The new special edition colour Islabikes will only be available to buy directly from Islabikes, with free UK delivery.

Frog Bikes go dotty with their Children in Need Pudsey Bike

Frog Bikes Pudsey kids bike sold in aid of Children in Need

Relative new comers to the kids bike market, Surrey based Frog Bikes, have revealed their "Pudsey Bear" range on their website.  £25 from the sale of every Pudsey bike is being donated to BBC's Children in Need.

The entire Frog Bike range, excluding the Frog 60 MTB, will be available in the limited edition design. In a break from normal bike naming conventions, Frog Bikes are named after the child's leg length, so the Frog 52 is aimed for children with a 52cm leg length.

The Pudsey Frog Bikes feature Frog's popular "spotty" paint job, with Pudsey Bear added to the headset, and the Children In Need logo added to the frame.

The Pudsey Bike will be available from all UK stockists of Frog Bikes from early September.  For more details visit Frog Bikes website
