Erddig Hall National Trust property with more bikes to renovate!
Today was a boys day, so N, T, grandad and myself headed out for a day trip, which found us first grabbing some lunch before heading over to Erddig Hall, a National Trust property located just outside of Wrexham in North Wales.
The boys love exploring old houses and castles, so three years ago we took the plunge and purchased a National Trust membership and haven’t looked back.
We’ve found the membership invaluable, using it for day trips during the school holidays and also for popping into a house (they pretty much always have a tea room attached) when we’re on a long journey as a convenient way of allowing the boys to let off some steam.
Anyhow, today’s Cycle Sprog treasure trove consists of a barn full of old bicycles (this is just one room) that the Yorke family had owned and ridden, and which the boys wanted to have their pictures taken with to show what dad would be restoring next!
Recent news reports have focused on schools trying to prevent "dangerous" cycling to school. What needs to be done to tackle this problem?
This weekend is Small Business Saturday, and it's a chance to celebrate all those small businesses who specialise in kids bikes and family cycling
It's fast, fun and very muddy! U8's cyclocross here we come......
